Statement

For me, making art is about exploring one’s hidden depths, bringing out the submerged eloquent unknown, and the wondrous surprises it can bring. When all the cogs of psyche, medium, body, et al. are coordinated this can take the form of a meditative journey. The specific choices of color or shape are completely unimportant. The whole experience just flows through me and onto the paper. At the best of times there do not seem to be any boundaries of self or paper or brush, nor is there ultimately any subject at all. I believe a work so created has archetypal qualities.
